When cruising to Rome, Italy, I recommend my clients stay at least one day in this wonderful city. Sights including the Catacombs, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are known worldwide and are just a few of the magnificent sites in Rome. Another great city to visit is Civitavecchia, located two hours north of Rome. Here’s my best tip when planning a cruise that includes Rome: Schedule your Rome sightseeing before or after the cruise. This way you don’t have to rush to visit all of the amazing parts of this fabulous city. This is truly one not to be missed!
